Program Description:

The Native Transfer Scholars Program is a CSU initiative, funded by the CSU Chancellor’s Office. The purpose of this initiative is to prepare American Indian Transfer Students to transfer to a 4 year colleges and understand the CSU requirements and build early relationships with faculty, staff and students.


Program:

The plan is to identify, monitor and entourage all Native American students currently enrolled in Los Rios and Sierra Community College to attend a one day Sac State event.


One Day visit event:

Transfer students who attend a one day event in the spring, will be able to tour the campus, learn about majors and careers, understand the Financial Aid and Admissions requirements and process. Students will be able to learn about other on-campus resources, and support services.


Requirements:

In order to qualify for the program, Transfer students must be enrolled in one of the Los Rios Community Colleges or Sierra College.
